How insights on SoundCloud work

SoundCloud is one of the largest open audio platforms around, and has arguably changed the way people receive, send and distribute music.

In November 2020, they decided to shutter their artist-only app SoundCloud Pulse. Some features were migrated over to the main app, including a page called Insights.

I'll tell you how I stumbled upon it, and dissect how it works.
